  1. The last three minutes of this conversation were the most interesting for me. Hearing male opinions on the friend zone and the whole friend zone discussion were intriguing. I'm in agreement with John when it comes to what it means to be in the friend zone - one person has feelings that the other doesn't, and the non-same-feeling party puts the person with feelings beyond friendship in the friend zone by either ignoring or rejecting their advances. I do completely understand where Sean is coming from though because I have had the experience before of being friends with someone and thinking, "We're like peas and carrots, and I'd like more of that. Sex being part of that would also be ideal."

Wondering what your opinions are about this scenario, guys. (And yes, I realize that neither of you is Dr. Drew.) I once had a male friend tell me that he respected me too much to have sex with me, and I felt flattered at the time. However, I have to wonder if I should have felt that way or if it was just the nicest way he could think of to keep me in the friend zone without making things awkward. I took it as a compliment, but it was really a rejection disguised as a compliment. To his credit, I have to say that he certainly let me down easy, and that was what I needed.
